How to get started...
We are always looking to welcome new members. Whatever your age, experience or ability we'll find a place for you to participate.
It's as easy as dropping us a message and coming along to one of our training sessions to get a feel for our club (we know you'll love it!).
What should I bring?

A pair of trainers (astros if you have them)

Shinpads & a gumshield for safety

A hockey stick if you have one, but we'll provide one if you don't

Come along to a free taster session
We'll invite you to a training session and meet the team. No strings attached, you can try two sessions before signing up

Play your first game (it's FREE!)
Our captains will get you straight into Saturday league games as soon as you feel ready. As an added perk, you're first game is on us.
A little more about us...
Bristol's best value hockey club
Bristol & West is one of the biggest hockey clubs in the Bristol area.
Bristol & West runs 6 men’s teams, 4 ladies’ teams and a flourishing junior section. Our youngest playing member is 8 and our oldest is - well let’s just say you're never too old to play! From junior mini-hockey to our Masters, we have a team for everyone, be it outdoor, indoor, summer or winter! All abilities are welcome
Our objective, in partnership with schools, business and the community, is to be the friendliest club in Bristol, where delivering a great player experience is at the heart of what we do. We aim to do this by being a place of fun and enjoyment for sportsmen and women, their families and friends and of course, our precious volunteers. We are a leader in youth development of hockey in the region, a venue for prestige hockey and a social meeting centre offering good value for money. We strive to be a responsible, inclusive and active supporter of the community and place importance on being professionally and financially well-managed. We keep our costs reasonable to ensure anyone in Bristol can enjoy the sport.
